Poly (vinyl pyrrolidone) (PVP)/ Cu(OAc)2/TEOS hybrid nanofibers with diameter of 1000 nm were prepared by electrospinning technique. The hybrid nanofibers were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), fourier transform infrared (FT-IR), respectively. These results indicated that Cu(OAc)2/TEOS molecule was successfully disstack and embedded in the one-dimensional hybrid nanofibers via chemical interaction between PVP and Cu(OAc)2/TEOS molecules. After calcinations of the above precursor fibers, CuO/SiO2 hybrid nanofibers were successfully obtained. The hybrid nanofibers were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and X-ray diffraction (XRD),fourier transform infrared (FT-IR), respectively. The diameter of CuO/SiO2 hybrid nanofibers were 200-400nm,the diameter of CuO nanoparticle were 20-30nm.CuO/SiO2 hybrid nanofibers had an intense catalytic performance.
