An Analysis Of Tennessee Valley Authority V.Hill

In 1960s and 1970s the U. S. federal government enacted many federal environmental legislations with the awareness improvement of American public toward environmental protection. This thesis focuses on the case of Tennessee Valley Authority v. Hill under this background. By introducing the judicial proceeding of this case in the District Court, Circuit Court and the Supreme Court, this thesis analyzes the base and guarantee of American environmental protection. The facts of protecting the endangered species and their critical habitats shows that the U. S. attaches importance to the biodiversity conservation. When it comes into conflicts with economy interests the U. S. decides to protect the former by using the strict legislations and judicial judgments.The introduction mainly reviews the studies of American and Chinese scholars toward the Tennessee Valley Authority v.
