The Study On Ecological Planning Of Urban Wetland Park And Its Application To A Case

As the awareness of the significance in wetland resources is ever-increasingly enhanced, people begin to pay more attention to this issue. As a consequence of urban economic development and rapid expansion in scale, urban wetland is greatly being damaged. In such a particular environment, building an urban wetland park is undoubtedly an effective way. However, China has a shorter history in wetland park constructions with incomplete theory, which leads to many problems during the course of urban wetland park planning. So, the study is of interest in theory and practice.This paper makes a further analysis for 8 representative urban wetland parks, including the national wetland park, local urban wetland park and foreign urban wetland park, with the purpose of finding the existing problems in the development of urban wetland park. Such problems are manifested in:â‘ blind development strategy, insufficient market orientation and utilitarianism that lead some wetland parks to malfunction;â‘¡in design idea, content and techniques are similar and repeated, without local features and landscape characteristics, as well as deficient idea planning;â‘¢in light of built wetland parks, there being poor management and lower social benefit, etc. In view of above problems, the paper, based on a wide of specific cases, analyzes and sums up current theory and process at home and abroad in urban wetland parks; the paper points out the development strategy and makes reasonable suggestions by using SWOT analytical model. In specific planning, the paper suggests that the urban wetland park be planned on a basis of protection, with an emphasis on regional features planning, artistic planning and wetland park brand creating. In planning ideas, this paper closely combines protective planning with features planning, integrates modern landscape planning idea, urban wetland park planning idea and Chinese classical gardens, especially traditional Chinese gardens to plan urban wetland parks.Main achievements are as follows:â‘ by analyzing domestic and foreign wetland park plan theories, plan contents and examples, the author put forwards the thoughts of ecology first, paying attention to protection and sustainable development;using the SWOT model, we study the advantage and disadvantage, threats and development opportunity in urban wetland park development.â‘¡in view of current problems, we put forwards reasonable suggestions for guidance in urban wetland park planning. According to analysis for present wetland park's development situation, we propose that the urban wetland park should insist on the thought of ecology first, conform to the road of characteristic planning, stress the shaping of environment atmosphere, and point out the specific content of characteristic planning, which is supplementary to current urban wetland park theory, and can be used for reference and cases guidance in future wetland park planning practices.â‘¢we also proposes the significance of building urban wetland park index system, and list the contents of such a system.â‘£in response to existing problems in Wulongjiang Wetland Park, this paper, based on the investigation, puts forwards a planning idea and content adaptable to its development, makes full use of local advantage and regional features, so as to create a urban wetland park that integrates ecological protection, tourism, and scientific education.
