Since the 20th century, the economic development brings about the excessive consumption of resources, thereby triggering a global shortage of resources, and then re- manufacturing technology came into being. The background of remanufacturing technology, the status quo and development trend is briefly introduced, especially for the re-manufacturing techniques of large-scale spindle. And then the common restoration programs of the large-scale spindle main axis are listed. The characteristics of laser cladding method, research status and development prospects are highlighted.Aim at the characteristics of the spindle main axis, this paper does the surface treatment of the main axis using laser cladding method, and then designs a grinding device to repair the coating parts using the grinding.In this paper, the transmission system to carry grinding device is designed, and then designs its main components. The model size and the main technical parameters are gained by calculating. The three-dimensional model of the grinding device is gained using three-dimensional design software Pro/Engineer. Then put the three dimensional model into finite element analysis software Ansys workbench. The static analysis of the key parts that easy to damage is done, and the regulation of the support's stress distribution and displacement distribution under external loads is gained, and then optimists the support's structural according to the results of the analysis result. The optimization results show that: the biggest stent deformation can be controlled under the scope of micron level, which can meet the requirement.A planet grinding equipment which is used to repair the cylindrical surface and both shoulder sides of the large-scale spindle main axis at the scene is designed in this paper. It directs a feasible technology to repair the large-scale spindle on the port.
