Consulation System For Garment Colors Based On The Wearing Effects

With the rise of our living standard, people's requirement of better quality of life as well as beauty has been intensified accordingly. People start to pay more attention to the style and colors of their clothes. The Garment Colors Consultation is used to determine a set of reference colors that will make garment look better on different people.In garment industry, the study on the relationships between garment colors and their influences is still at the traditional level of semantic description. No quantified system has been applied to this field. The study on the Consultation System for Garment Colors Based on the Wearing Effects not only will help us learn more about the rules in colors matching, but also will be of great significance in practical application.In this dissertation, the major wearing effects, skin color, figure, age, personality, wearing season, as well as their relations with colors matching, were systematically analyzed according to features of different colors. A mathematic model was established on the basis of the quantification of colors attributes. People's wearing psychology state was studied in a systematic way according to the cusp catastrophe model, and the wearing psychology was classified into three categories, imitation, exploration and comprehension, respectively. Finally, a consultation system was realized using computer software. This system would be able to provide a set of color matching proposals to users according to their specific requirements. In addition, the corresponding judgment about the wearing behavior would also be presented. To put the results of this study into practical application will not only offer colors matching advices to consumers during wearing, but also provide consultation to experts in the colors design of garment.
