As one of the most important methods of plastics processing, plastic injection molding could supply mold parts of various structure, dimensions and requirements in use. As a result, thickness, flow length, and structures variety, added with the same variety but more complex status in plastics flow and physical mechanics properties, a general processing parameters setting approach ended as a surprisingly difficult.Nevertheless, the optimum of processing setting still keeps its magical attraction and induces many people to develop more and more molds to reveal its real face, such as numerical simulation, design of experiment optimum, expert system, case-based inference, NN, genetic algorithm and etc, while the most practical approach is the"trial-error", which means get optimum parameters through cycling injection with each time different try.Based on the current situation, and expecting to full explore the merits of case-based inference, NN and fuzzy logic, a composite project named as New Intelligent Injection Machine, which shows the good simulation result and could be used for the intelligent setting and optimizing of injection process, has been accomplished by the co-operation of Ningbo HAITAI Corpoaration and Huazhong University of Science and Technology. After a long developing experience and further and wider consideration, an open fuzzy inference model is presented for eliminating or minimizing the injection defects. The model better avoids the"Dimension Disaster"in original fuzzy inference technology and breaks the limitation of definite model in one project. Meanwhile, according with continuous fuzzy inference model in Matlab, a discrete fuzzy inference model has been constructed, which would be more available in industries manufacturing. The software won the first-stage achievement in the practice, and great reduction of parameters setting, which the intelligent optimum of injection parameters is produced. CAE developing course has been presented too, attached with the developing trend. And a brief introduction of how to apply and code the analysis report is synopsized. |
