The fully wiped co-rotating twin-screw is the key part of twin screw extruder. This paper focus on how to design the full wiped co-rotating twin-screw's tooth profile and how to machine the kind of the screw. Main content and conclusion of the paper are listed below:First, based on theories of relative motion and gear meshing principal, design proposal has been obtained. Derivation of the screw's end section curves formation with n =1,2,3 tips has been finished. The screw's formation of cross-sectional area, volume, extrusion quantity also have been derived, and they have been programmed by Visual Basic.Then, based on the fully wiped co-rotating twin-screw's end section with 2 tips, we obtain the fully wiped co-rotating twin-screw's helicoids'formation. Axial blade of disc cutter has been computed. Center distance is between the disc cutter and a screw, and there are a formula between Angle of setting and the distance. For further study, we obtained the relation between the lathe tool and the disc cutter.The third, building the Model of the twin-screw by using the famous CAD software Pro/E, produced by America PTC Company. The disc cutter is also modeled by Pro/E in enveloping principle. Intermeshing simulation of the couple of screws and interfere check have been run.The end, the research in processing the fully wiped co-rotating twin-screw with variational lead is been done and we draw the conclusion that we can't use the same lathe tool or the same disc cutter to process the fully wiped co-rotating twin-screw with variational lead in integral type. The gap between the twin screw is also been studied.
