STL and 2DM files are the mainly input file formats in HsCAE, its correctness has a great impact on mesh data and the result of subsequent disposal. In this paper, the strategies and steps of mesh error repair are presented on the basis of checking errors. Have studied the existing methods of mesh errors repair, the repair functions are implemented, and the reliability and practicability of mesh repair tool is improved.The main point of this paper is mesh check and repair technology. A suit of mesh standard for plastic injection simulation is discussed, and a particular description of STL and 2DM files is presented. The whole description of mesh data and error elements is presented, using the topology of mesh file and the errors descriptive graph. Basic repair methods included points unitization, holes repair, crack repair and overlap repair are proposed on the basis of checking errors. And also, to take into account the complexity of the file and the error diversity, manual repair methods are proposed as needed.Mesh information setting technology is the main difference between 2DM and STL files. In this paper, the information display, mesh check and repair of 2DM file are investigated thoroughly, and the corresponding methods are proposed.Based on the above research, the functions are implemented in the system named HsMeshMgr 2.0. In conclusion, the interface of the system is displayed and the use of functions are illustrated.
