It is meaning to research and develop the rapier electronic let-off system, which is suited to our condition. The electronic let-off system not only can enhance the automotive level of rapier, but also can narrow the gap between our products and foreign products. In the clear purpose of the issue, the paper completed the following:(1) Analysis the condition of rapier both home and aboard first. Compared the current commonly used electronic let-off system, and analysis the feature of those kind of system. Determined the solution of the system.(2) Analysis the principle of electronic let-off system, and analysis the affecting factors of warp tension. Determined the over all design plan of the system.(3) Introduced the hardware of electronic let-off system, which including the set of servo amplifier parameters and function of MK-120S PLC used in the system.(4) Analysis the shortcomings the traditional PID controller, and designed a single neuron adaptive PID controller. Improved the control algorithm. Including the online law of K and the improvement of neuron learning algorithm. The improvement enhanced the performance of controller, and strengthened the ability to adapt to the environment.(5) Designed the software of electronic let-off system. The software including the part of logy, the part of data processing, the part of spindle angle, the sampling of warp tension, and the incremental pulse processing.
