The character and cost of EOR surfactant are the two main factors determining if it can be extended.Nowadays domestic and overseas EOR surfactant mainly are as follows : petroleum sulfonate, alkylbenzene sulfonate, petroleum carboxylate, modified lignin sulfonate and biological surfactant.Because petroleum sulfonate is compatible with petroleum, water-soluble, simple to produce,cheap,it is widely regarded.The petroleum sulfonate has been synthesized overseas and mineral experiment is carried out,and the medium-sized experiment stage is progressing domestically.However, because petroleum sulfonate is liable to adsorb on terrane,and is liable to create precipitation with Ca2+,Mg2+ at high mineralization degree,it makes great loss in driving effect and economic effect.In the paper,modified petroleum sulfonate is attained through organic synthesis,mainly by reacting furfural extract oil with sixteen acylchlorine. The product reacts with diethyl malonate by Knoevenagel reaction to produce modified products. Characterization is carried out by IR. Tests on interfacial tension and anti Ca2+,Mg2+ ability are progressed. n this topic, The results show that the modified petroleum sulfonate synthesized can make the interfacial tension between drive and crude oil reach ultra-low is reviewed, namely 0.001mN/m.And compared with common petroleum sulfonate, it can lower the loss of surfactant during the driving.
