| Plasma arc welding(PAW)is a kind of high-energy welding process developed on the basis of argon tungsten arc welding.Now the welding process is widely used in many fields such as chemical industry,nuclear power, electronic parts,mechanism,aerospace,precise instruments and meters because of its high productivity,excellent welding quality and many kinds of welded metal.With the development of technology on welding and control,PAW on automatic control plays more and more important role in production.The research in this paper is a system controlled by touch panel and PLC which have been designed to weld motorcycle gearing wheel automatically with MPAW,and the welder has been designed to 3D structure by UG.The workpiece is clamped by electric controlled and air-operated fixture.The core of the system adopts one type of PLC of Koyo,which is a sort of SH-32R1,and its additional devices,including A/D,D/A modules.Welding power is a kind of micro-plasma arc welder marked NERTAMATIC 51.Clamping fixture,swivel table,wire feed system,welder and other equipments are all controlled by the PLC.The touch panel which cooperates with PLC to control system is a sort of EA7-S6C-RS belonging to ViewJetCmore.In order to increase efficiency,the system adopts single-station and single/couple welding torches.Through debugging of each component of the system,the result indicates that the structure of the welding mechanism is reasonable,the hardware design and the software procedure are feasible.It can accomplish the workpiece's clamping,locating,rotating,unclamping,two welding torches' generating, welding and extinguishing automatically.The PAW control system in motorcycle gearing wheel that this paper proposed is convenient,reliable and qualify for the work demand.It also can increase productivity,guarantee quality and has practical values in engineer. |
