The thesis consists of two parts:The first part is a summation, which consists of two chapters. The first chapter mainly introduces the methods for the preparation of propargylic alcohols using terminal alkynes and carbonyl compounds as starting materials. This chapter mainly focused the synthesis of propargylic alcohols in many methods including strong base reagents and organic reagent improved by the strong base, the terminal alkyne, and Lewis acid or base. The second chapter mainly introduced the methods for the synthesis of propargylic ethers and sulfides in recent years. Usually in transition metals catalytic conditions, propargylic ethers and sulfides were obtained by S_N1-type substitution between propargylic alcohols and nucleophiles. The second part is our study on the improvement in the systhesis of propargylic ethers and sulfides. The copper (II) bromide catalyzed substitution reactions of propargylic alcohols with nucleophiles were performed at room temperature in nitromethane. A series of substituted propargylic ethers and sulfides was obtained in good yields with complete regioselectivity. In comparison with the previous methods, our reported catalyst copper (II) bromide offers several advantages in terms of its simple operation, mild reaction conditions, efficiency, and easily availability and it is environmentally friendly.
