With the high-speed development of paper manufacturing industry and printing technology, the function of surface sizing agent is outstanding day by day, and the development of surface sizing agent has becomes the hot spot of modern research. This paper has mainly researched the prep(?)ation of fluoroacrylate as one kind of surface sizing agent by emulsion polymerization, using self- maded cationic polymeric emulsifier, and styrene,butyle acrylate,fluorine monomer as the material. And the best synthesis technological conditions have been confirmed. The polymerization has been carried on the enlargement production. The characterization of the synthetic product has been worked out. The results are as follows:1,The synthetic technology of surface sizing agent of BS-80 model has been optimized. Under this condition, the functional monomer hexafluorobutyl acrylate is introduced to emulsion polymerization under the function of self-maded macromolecule surfactant. The fluorizating surface sizing agent having high waterproof is obtained by put in the fluorine monomer through the way of prolonged feeding. The best conditions are: m(BA): m(St)=1: 1, FA is the hexafluorobutyl acrylate, w(FA)=5%(total amount of the monomer) , w(emulsifier)=45%(total amount of the monomer), w(initiator)=6%(total amount of the monomer), reaction temperature is 70℃, reaction time is 9h. And the reaction kinetics of the cationic emulsion polymerization with the fluorine monomer involved in. The rate of polymerization under 60,65,70,75,80℃is obtained. The apparent activation energy of the reaction system is Ea=52.05kJ·mol-1.2,The enlargement production is carried on the optimized synthesis conditions to prepare the surface sizing agent pilot products of fluoroacrylate with nuclear shell model. It has achieved good re(?)lts that the pilot products has been used in the corrugated paper factory and the printing paper factory, the results are good, so it may substitute the imported product completely.3,We have systematically analysised various properties of the paper of glue and the polymer latex using modern instruments of SEM,TEM,granularity analysis instrument,angle of contact cryoscope,DSC,IR,XPS to apply the evidence for using surface sizing agent better. The fluorine segment of fluorine copolymer has been proofed to have stronger hastening and behaving alikely through analyzing the surface of the polymer latex by XPS.
