Benzimidazole compounds are widely applicated in medicine,biology,sensitive -material,electrochemistry,multiple-material and so on, because of its structural characteristic, physiological activity, response activity and other fine characteristics, The synthetic and application study of benzimidazole complexes and their derivatives never disconnected during these decades. Therefore, we synthesize two benzimidazolyl-rich ligands (EDTB and EGTB ligands) and their metal compounds, Interactions between several compounds and DNA are also studied.Six compounds of EDTB or EGTB ligand have been synthesized and characterized by X-ray diffraction analysis, ultraviolet spectra-visible, infrared spectra and molar conductivity.The main research in this paper included:1,Four mononuclear compounds of EDTB ligand have been synthesized by the solvent diffusion method. Furthermore, The crystal structure of alkaline-earth metal calcium complex containing EDTB ligand [Ca(EDTB)NO3]NO3-3CH3OH(â…¤) is reported in the first time. The Ca(â…¡) ion is eight-coordinated by six benzimidazoly nitrogen atoms and two nitrate oxgen atoms, showing a slightly distorted octahedron geometry.2,Using the same material, two dinuclear compounds of EGTB ligand have been synthesized at room temperature and hydrothermal, respectively. [Mn2(EGTB)2(NO3)4] (â…¥): Every Mn(â…¡) ion is eight-coordinated by two benzimidazoly nitrogen atoms, one amino nitrogen of EGTB, two oxgen atoms of water molecule,one nitrate oxgen atoms.[Mn2(EGTB)2(NO3)2(H2O)4](NO3)2(â…¦): Every Mn(â…¡) ion is seven-coordinated by two benzimidazoly nitrogen atoms, one amino nitrogen of EGTB, one ether oxgen atom, two oxgen atoms of water molecule,one nitrate oxgen atoms, two oxgen atoms of the another nitrate.3,Interactions between several manganese compounds and DNA are studied at the certain pH and the different pH,respectively.
