With the rapid development of urbanization and the growth of urban population,the demand for leisure and entertainment based on urban water environment is increasing and the entrophication of urban landscape water is becoming an urgent issue.It was suggested that much research be done on the analysis of landscape water quality and the characteristics of eutrophication.The main conclusions are summarized as follows:(1)The features and functions of urban landscape water were analyzed and the main sources of pollution.It was conducted that the major issues was eutrophication.(2)The goal was the development of hydrodynamic and water quality models that are sufficient to simulate the complex circulation and water quality kinetics within the water body.A two-dimensional,hydrodynamic and water quality model was developed and calibrated by using the Environmental Fluid Dynamics Code(EFDC),Virginia Institute of Marine Science at the College of William and Mary(VIMS)and the Water Quality Analysis Simulation Program(WASP7.2),the United States Environmental Protection Agency(US EPA)was applied for the water quality.(3)The case study of eutrophication process of Furong Lake in Tang Paradise,Xi'an was carried out from January 2007 to December 2008,including ammonia (NH4-N),nitrate nitrogen(NO3-N),dissolved or available inorganic phosphorus(OPO4), Phytoplankton concentrations(chlorophyll-a),carbonaceous biochemical oxygen demand(CBOD),dissolved oxygen(DO),organic nitrogen(ON)and organic phosphorus(OP).The results of model values and field values in October 2007 were compared,average relative errors are as follow:0.135,0.212,0.247,0.096,0.125,0.022,0.064 and 0.232.It was conducted that the model with high accuracy and suitability relatively accuracy can be a useful tool for the protection and management of urban landscape water.(4)Finally,the principles of urban landscape water quality improvement and several effective and valuable water quality improvement technologies for urban landscape water pollution control were proposed.
