In Chinese refinary,the application of hydrogenation of processes started late. However, the development is fast in recent years. Because of the demands for naphtha cut and clean fuel, as well as the use of sour crude and heavy crude oil, hydrogenation processes become more important.This work is based on the CNPC Lanzhou petrocompany ethylene project. As a project engineer, I have the opportunity to take part in the whole process, including design and construction of pyrolysis gasoline hydrogenation project and running of the plant. The following research according to document including plant process, process engineering and result of running of new plant was conducted base on the introduction of hydrogenation unit matching to ethylene unit.1, we analyse the technological situation both here and abroad, illuminate the reason why choice a two-sectional hydrogenation process.2,The deC9 tower was found to have a major influence on the plant yield and the quality of the desired fraction. We solved the Separate Problem by choice tower type and new style packing.3,The effect of the reactor esize and the catalyst amount, the reactor pressure drop and the type of the reactor was investigated. 4,The catalysts used on first and second section were evaluated. A good catalyst loading,solid-sulfuret adoption and activation program was proposed to ensure a good catalyst performance.The major equipments such as heating-furnace and compressor were descripted and the equipment capability for process requiremet was confirmed. The influence of process conditions such as reaction temperature, space velocity was examined, Satisfactory result was obtained by optimizing the process in real production of the deC9 tower.The plant processing capacity comes to be 360,000 t/a on first operation. It is the largest plant for pyrolysis gasoline hydrogenation at present in China. The product quality and energy consumption all come to the designed requirement. Started of operation gained better economic benefit for corporation, it offered a reference of Increase operation level for uniformity plant.
