| The energy issues are more and more concerned by not only the scientist and the politicians but even the people in the whole world, because of the energy security, air pollution, and the climate change problem. The latest data shows that fosil fuels, which people rely on, are now going to"dry up". Oil, now is the world's leading source, will reach its peak in the near future. The prices of oil are keeping rising, and the conflicts of the nations getting more and more ofen, even the war. It's necessary to find a new energy source. Hydrogen, the simplist and most abundant, renewable and cleanest energy is moving into the lexicon of scientists and engineers. Interest in hydrogen is also rising greatly.As the low efficiency and the unpurity the traditional production method is, a new process is designed to produce pure hydrogen. There are hydrogen production step and the reduce gas production step. FeO-Fe2O3 system is introduced to be the oxygen-transfer catalyst, react with water in high temperature, capture the oxygen of water,and generate the hydrogen gas. The react formular is: H2O(l)+2FeO=Fe2O3+H2. Then the catalyst is reduced: Fe2O3+CO=2FeO+CO2. In reduce gas step, CO2 which generated from former step react with coal, to prodece the reduce gas.Load the Fe2O3 to a kand of silicon material SBA-15 using dipping method. The effect on catalyst of temperature is studied; the form of the catalyst is changed when reduced in different temperature. Reacting in 800℃is benefit for catalyst to matain its original form.The compositions of the off-gas of the process are monitored by MS to study the reaction process. The kinetics is also studied.The stability is studied. We found that pure hydeogen is produced and the stability of the system is reliable. |
