| N, N-dimethylacrylamide(DMAA) is an important fine chemical. DMAA can reacts with other monomers to form copolymers under radical or non-ionic initiators. Those copolymers are widely used in petroleum recovery, textile, fine chemical, paper making, ethylene industry, life and medical science etc, because of their excellent dyeability, hydrolytic stability, water permeability and bonding property.The main properties, applications and preparation methods of DMAA were summarized in the paper. 3-dimethylamino-N, N-dimethylpropionamide(DMDMAA) was synthesized with methyl acrylate and dimethylamine as raw materials though addition and amidation reactions, High purity DMAA was obtained by pyrolysis elimination and fraction.In the process of preparation DMDMAA, the optimum conditions of synthesis technique were confirmed. Reaction temperature was 20~30℃, methanol was 50% of all reaction liquid volume, the mass of sodium methoxide was 3.7% of methyl acrylate.In the research of preparation DMAA by pyrolysis, the optimum conditions of pyrolysis reaction were confirmed, the optimum catalyst was concentrated H2SO4, concentrated H2SO4 was 1.5%(the mass percent of raw materials), pyrolysis time was 4 hours.The structure of DMDMAA was confirmed by IR, MS 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR for the first time. The structure of DMAA was also confirmed by means above.The reaction mechanism of DMAA was also discussed. The reaction of preparation DMDMAA was 1, 4-michael addition and ammonolysis reactions. The reaction of preparation DMAA by pyrolysis was E1 mechanism. |
