The Plyester Department of TPCC imported two fiber lines from the German NUMAGE Corporation during 200,000 ton-polyester item. Simultaneously the quench unit was imported , which cool off fiber to take shape. Breezen wind provided by the quench unit influences uniformity of fiber directly and it play an important pole to quality of the original silk and stabilization of next working procedure. The text discusses domestic development of quench unit and general processing method inside quench unit, and studies the statement of fiber in cooling room. By investigating and analyzing the production data the text finds out the main problems: the first, the system control method has problems result in wind temperature and wind pressure fluctuating out of control scope, influencing product quality;the second, the working route has blemish bringing on filter jammed, wasting a great deal of frozen water;the third, torrent wind disorder the fiber in cooling room reflect on productive stabilization. The reformation commences from two sides. In the aspects of control to increase control precision adopting dewdrop temperature method control wind temperature and frequency conversion method control wind pressure in the same time advancing quench unit whole capability. In the aspects of technics adding spraying segment to reduce the grain , adjusting filter segment rationally to resolve filter jammed usually, improving on rectifier set to decreasing disturbance to the fiber. The reformation obtains good result. Wind pressure and temperature is controlled in the technics required scope. The dosage of freezing water gets a control. The replaced period of filter material is prolonged from 10 days to 30 days. The reformation obtains over 2,000,000 yuan in 4 month.
