In the development of electrodeposition coatings, acrylic transparent cathodic electrodeposition coatings provide the advantages of excellent transparency and durability, which are widely applied in hardware industry with protection and decretive effects. The products have been largely required and highly valued. However, the electrodeposition coatings were input from foreign countries in the present time. Therefore, it is very important to research and develop the acrylic transparent cathodic electrodeposition coatings.In this paper, the cation acrylic resin was synthesized using isopropyl alcohol and ethylene glycol monobutyl ether as solvent, methyacrylate 2-methyl-, 2-(dimethylamino) ethyl ester as monomers by free radical polymerization. The formula and process were adjusted by water solute ability, molecule weight and glass transformation temperature, and the water soluability of resin was analyzed. The molecule weight and distribution of acrylic resin were controlled by factors including initiators, monomer concentrations. dripping time and reaction temperatures. 2-Butanone oxime blocked HDI trimer was selected as cross-linker, the influence of amount of cross-linker and catalyst on crosslink effect was investigated. The film shows a good appearance, and various physical chemical properties have quality of foreign products.In the research of electrodeposition process, the solid content, electrical voltage, electrodeposition time were analyzed, and bath pH value and temperatures make great influence on film thickness and appearance. |
