Super absorbent resin is a kind of typical functional polymer material, and the research of salt-tolerant superabsorbent resin is a focus in academe because of its good performance and broad purposes. The main contents of this research contain three points as follows: First, we studied many kinds of polymerization, posttreatment and method of crosslinking, setting up preparation technology of super absorbent resin with acrylic acid (AA), sodium polyacrylate (AANa) and acrylamide (AM) as monomer, glycerol as crosslinking agent. Second, through researching the effects of resin's network and functional groups on the absorbability of the product in distilled water and in normal saline, the relation of structure and property is researched. Third, on the base of above-mentioned researches, optimizing synthesis technology with molecule design, regulating the dosage of initiator and crosslinker, changing the ratio of monomers, improving the concentration of monomers, providing more time for polymerization and so on to make the property of resin better. The results manifest that salt-tolerant superabsorbent resin with good property was synthesized by two-step solution polymerization, with K2S2O8 as initiator. The IR spectrum shows that the product is PAA-AANa-AM which is crosslinked by glycerol. When the content of crosslinker and initiator is 0.1% and 0.5%, the concentration of monomers is 35%, -COO- : -COOH: -CONH2 =6.5: 3.5: 3, the polymerization temperature is 60℃, the crosslinking reaction temperature is 180℃, the superabsorbent resin has the best salt-tolerant property. At this time, the absorbability of the product in distilled water and in normal saline is 2386.5g/g and 245.5g/g.
