Therefore, this paper aims to study the history, present situation and heritage of obtaining salt by evaporating brine.Guangxi is one of the major production areas of sea salt in China. Although its brine pan started late, it still has a history of more than 1400years.Beimu brine pan was salt cooperative society of producers of Stone Port at the beginning of the founding of China and turned into a state-owned enterprise in 1958. In the past 60 years, Beimu brine pan witnessed and experienced the resplendence and decline of Guangxi sea salt industry.Through field inspection and case study, and making reference to related documents, this paper takes Beimu brine pan of Tieshan Bay, Beihai, Guangxi Autonomous Region for example, discusses the development of Guangxi sea salt industry, describes the technological process of obtaining salt by evaporating brine in detail. Moreover, in allusion to the backwardness of Guangxi salt industry, this paper breaks a new path to the development and heritage of salt obtaining, and puts forward some suggestions for reference according to local productive and living conditions.
