Due to the high concentration of organic compound and the hazardous characteristic of gelatin wastewater, the technologic requirement of gelatin wastewater treatment is very high and the current treatment process is unable to achieve technologic maturity and economic feasibility. Therefore, the study on gelatin wastewater treatment is very necessary. In this study, the author analyzed the water quality of wastewater from Baotou Dongbao Gelatin Factory, and did respective experiment of treatment processes of inorganic ceramic membrane and SBR.The membrane experiment result shows: influent COD alters from 797.9mg/l into 91mg/l,this greatly reduces the burden of latter biochemical treatment process. The SBR experiment result shows:the COD remove rate is above 90%,the PH situation is 6~9,temperature situation is 20~30 Celsius degree, the dissolved oxygen is 1~4 mg/l,the noxious cream is below 0.5mg/l. In case the nitrogen material proportion(BOD:BOD:NH3—N:P)is 100:5:1,the aerobic microbe growth is in a fast period. And the COD is decreases when the aeration period prolonged. After 8 hours of aeration period, the water quality could meet the Grade I of State wastewater outlet standard 'State Standard Wastewater Outlet Standard'.In this study, the author read and cited a wide array of documentation and experiment report from domestic and overseas. The conclusion could be drawn: compare to inorganic ceramic membrane,SBR is more suitable for gelatin wastewater treatment. This technology is more cost-saving,and can reach a high outlet water quality:the CODCrremote rate could reach 92%,BOD5 remote rate could reach 85%, TN remote rate could reach 85%,TP remote rate could reach 90%.This technology is feasible in efficiency improving and cost-saving of wastewater treatment, and it is worthy for popularity.
