In this essay, in the first part, the write introduces atmospheric visibility is very important in scientific research. The main content is to approach extinction characteristics of atmospheric different suspended particles. In the second part , Mie theory and the theory of atmospheric are briefly reviewed. The write introduces the conception of atmospheric visibility in meteorological department and instrument. The Mie theory is applied to investigate the scattering characteristics of spherical atmospheric particles. In the third part, the write calculates extinction coefficient of atmospheric different suspended particles and concludes the formula. Then the result is analysised.
