Coal is major energy source in China, which can not be replaced. As the same time, the safety problems accompanied with coal exploitation always take the attention from people. Now safety is becoming the major task of coal industry when China joins in WTO and the coal safety becomes more and more serious. So if we can forecast the orientation of gas explosion, it will be very researchable in it as it is the most effective fact in the coal safety problems.Mine production is a very complex system which contains man,machine,environment and management. The study about gas explosion of mine is more on the fatalness evaluation and less on orientation at present. This article falls to the evaluation of gas explosion orientation, integrates the theory of accidents courses, and brings forward a integrated index system of gas explosion orientation evaluation in the workplace by the experiences of mine safety.It is difficult to bring out questions and study on the necessary when taking evaluation of gas explosion in the workplace of coal mine, and the emphases are to make sure the evaluation index and the weight of every factor. In this article, we start at the system model of gas explosion and analyze the causes, and then study the orientation index form the aspects of man,machine,environment and management with the theory of accident causes. The index confirmed refers to the index system being used or studied and the practical application to workplace.This article takes the arrangement analysis method which is now being used widely as the index and the weight of index can not departed. To make sure the weight of index more scientific,logical and well reflect the importance to the production safety of every aspect, we establish the model of arrangement analysis comparing each index and induct appropriate mark to make judge quantified, calculate the extent between the lowest index and highest index by mathematic calculation.The index and evaluation method established in this article are validated to Hongling coal mine of HENAN, and the results are almost the same with the actual situation. It indicates that the index and evaluation method are scientific,feasible and practical.
