| The gallium-doped zinc oxide (ZnO:Ga) scintillators have excellent scintillation properties. It will be applied in the high-energy physics and national defence. In this thesis, the nanopowders of ZnO:Ga are prepared. The transparent scintillating ceramic are prepared have been gotten under high temperature and high pressure.We prepare the ZnO:Ga nanopowders with the SHS (Self-propagating High-Temperature Synthesis) method. We study the properties of them by the method of XRD,TEM and UV.The anneal of the nanopowders eliminate the N. The H has been adulterated into the powder. The diameter of the nanopowders are less then 100 nanometers after the anneal. So it can be used for preparing transparent scintillating ceramic.The different methods of molding have been used. The sintering under ambient are not successful. The transparent scintillating ceramic are prepared by the sintering under the high pressure and high temperature. Optimum method for preparing is obtained. |
