Studies On Extraction, Isolation, Structure Identification And Quality Control Of Compounds From Oleum Curcumae

Objective:To extract,isolate and structural identificate compounds from Oleum Curcumae.To purificate compounds from Oleum Curcumae which were used as standard to study on quality control of Oleum Curcumae and its preparation,as to improve the method of quality control of Oleum Curcumae and its preparation.Methods: Isolating the components by silica gel column chromatography and recrystallization from Oleum Curcumae which were obtained by steam distillation from Curcuma Wenyujin. Identificating structure of the components obtained from Oleum Curcumae.The components were purificated used as standard as to study on quality control of Oleum Curcumae and its preparation.Various methods, such as UV-spectrophotometry, TLC, HPLC, GC method,were developed for determination ofOleum Curcumae and its preparation.Results: Many components were isolated from Oleum Curcumae, and the two of themwere identified, namely curdione and curcumol. Curdione and curcumol were purificated which were obtained from Oleum Curcumae and germacrone commercially used as standard. The optimal method to measure the content of Oleum Curcumae and its preparation were established.A UV-spectrophotometry method was developed for determination of curcumol,and a HPLC method was developed for determination of curdione, germacrone and curcumol.Conclusion: The method is convenient, simple, reliable, accurate and repeatability to be used. They can be used as the quality control method of Oleum Curcumae and its preparation,which provides a reference standard for the quality control and basis for the method of fingerprint. The optimal method can be more effective in controlling the quality of the Oleum Curcumae and its preparation to ensure the quality of products, make it safe, effective and controllable.
