Coal mine is the focus of industry in China's current safety accidents in production and its safety production situation is serious. The current domestic mine monitoring and control system is more expensive, high-power, high maintenance costs, poor compatibility shortcomings and could not meet production safety needs.In this paper, there is study on the technology characteristic of current mine monitoring systems and the needs of safety in the mine production. According to the security production needs of domestic small and medium-sized mine enterprises, the dissertation decides to integrate personnel position functions and gas detection functions into one monitoring system. In order to realize this thought, the dissertation firstly research the CAN-bus technology and its application in mine security production, combines the multi-master communication and master-slave communication, designs the system's network communication protocol based on CAN-bus. Secondly, there is study on the RFID technology and its application in mine. According to the security production needs, the paper make a miner regional position proposal based on RFID technology. Thirdly, the hardware and software design and develop on RFID card and position base station's is finished. The thoughts provided before are realized by the application programme based on C language. Finally, the paper takes a on-line debugging on the system. The result shows that the system developed in this paper meets the mine safety monitoring and underground personnel position requirements.The mine safety monitoring and personnel position system designed in this paper improves the supervising and management on the underground miners, and has better cost-effective, real-time performance, stability, compatibility. It solves the leakage Reading problems appeared in the general mine staff position system. So, it possesses excellent practicability and the application for ground.
