Extraction And Microencapsulation Technology Of Eucommia Seed Oil

This paper mainly studied the extraction technical conditions of Eucommia seed oil with Supercritical carbon dioxide fluid extraction technology(SFE-CO₂)and Microwave-assisted extraction technology(MAE),and the microencapsulation technical conditions of the oil withβ-cyclodextrin inclusion technology and spray drying technology.Analyzes and inspects the components of fatty acid and the physical chemical properties of Eucommia seed oil.The results indicated that,the optimum technological conditions of extracting Eucommia seed oil from Eucommia seed through the extraction method of supercritical CO₂ were as follows:the extraction pressure 35MPa,the extraction temperature 45℃,the separation temperature 30℃,the extraction time 70 min,the material particle size 40 mesh and the CO₂ flow rate 25～30kg/h,and the yield of oil obtained by SFE-CO₂ is 27.76%.The quality of Eucommia seed oil by SFE-CO₂ is better than MAE and solvent extraction.So the SFE-CO₂ is the preferable technique for extracting high grade oil from Eucommia seed.Among the contents of Eucommia seed oil,the linoleic acid(C_18:2)is 12.64%and theα-linolenic acid (C_18:3)is 61.04%.Moreover,the oil contains rich fatty acid,such as palmitic acid(C_16:0), stearic acid(C_18:0)and oleic acid(C_18:1),its fatty acid composition and content closes to Kiwi fruit seed oil,and it is one of the best sources of high contentα-linolenic acid in the health plant oil.The optimum technological conditions of the oil with embedding method usingβ-cyclodextrin as wall material were determined:β-cyclodextrin to Eucommia seed oil is 3:2.5,reaction time is 60min,reaction temperature is 30℃,the microencapsulation yield reaches 83.6%,and the average inclusive ratio is 1.88:1.In the microencapsulation experiment of spray drying,the optimal ratio to the micro-encapsulation was gotten.Arabic gum to malt dextrin is 1:1,the ratio of core to wall is 2:3,and the percent ration of the material and water is 25%(W/V).The optimum technology conditions of spray-drying obtained by experiments are as follows:the temperature of entering wind is 180℃,the temperature of exporting wind is 80℃,and the homogenization pressure is 35MPa. The usage of Eucommia seed oil and its microencapsulation products in the field of healthy food is very wide.And the technologies of extraction and microencapsulation of Eucommia seed oil also enjoy an immense market prospect.
