Odour pollution has a bad effect on the society. All countries in the world are paying more attention to the control of odour pollution. The petrochemical enterprise is one of the most serious odour emission industries, so the photocatalysis technology of the removal of odour from petrochemical enterprise has been investigated.In the laboratory, the effects of different photocatalysts, the catalyst filled modes, inlet concentration and gas volecity on the degradation rate of boluene were investigated, and then the titanium dioxide (TiO2)-loaded actived carbon fiber (ACF) felt was chosen to be used in the later experiment.On the basis of the laboratory investigation, the photocatalysis equipment for the removal of odour has been designed. The gas from electric desalting sewage well vent-pipe of the Dushanzi refinery was taken as the model pollutant. The effects of the gas velocity, irradiation, and the existence of H2S etc.on the removal rate of odour concentration were investigated by the gas-solid photocatalytic reactor, and the advanced Australian DynaScent Digital Olfactometer, the gas chromatography etc. have been used to analyze the removal rate of the odour concentration, the results showed that the odour removal rate could keep above 80%. |
