The odour as a nuisance has become an prominent environment problem around the citizens. It has the particularity that can use human olfactory perception as the judgment standard. Olfactory threshold is one of quantitative indicators that can combine the odour material concentration and human body feeling. According to the olfactory threshold, the sense of smell can judge the degree of pollution or harm. For those gases whose smell is obvious toxic or harmful, using olfactory threshold can play the role of warning. This research was focused on the municipal facilities and industrial production. Odour concentrations were measured by the triangular odour bag method. According to the analysis of odour emission characteristics, integrated instrument analysis and sensory analysis, determine which compounds contributed most to the overall odour emanating for the select pollution source, and develop equations for predicting odour concentration based on the compound odour activity value (OAV). The larger the OAV, the more likely that compound would contribute to the overall odour. According to the analysis of odour emission characteristics, it was found that Odor concentration values in summer were larger than that in other season, this was expected, odor and gas concentrations and emission rates were significantly different due to variations in the sampling point and management characteristics of the sites. It may be also due to the samples was interfered by other undetected gas compounds in summer. It was found that the key odourant in wastewater treatment plant were hydrogen sulfide and methyl mercaptan, the key odourant in transportation station of municipal refuse were acetaldehyde, formaldehyde and acetone and acrolein; the key odourant in traditional Chinese medicine pharmaceutical were acetaldehyde, acetone, methanol, ethanol and hydrogen sulphide, the key odourant in petrochemical industry were hydrogen sulfide, acetaldehyde and propionaldehyde. According to the OAV and regression analyses, the results showed that the correlations were statistically significant (p<0.05). For selecting the stench of pollution sources analysis of characteristics of odorous pollutants, checking out the material type and concentration, and the stench of pollution sources identified the main pollutants of pollutants, and all kinds of pollution source is obtained by normalization processing characteristics of pollutants. At last, the study forecasted the frequency of various pollution sources by AUSTAL View software. This study established the typical odour industry appraisal model and provided an effeictive way topredict the odour emissions situation.
