The casting technology workout of our company is always manual drawn by experience. The product trial-manufacture period is long. To ensure the quality of casting, we must continuously adjust technology. Normally, the trial-manufacture procedure of a new product is as following: the first one trial-pouring, machine, NDT, adjust technology after discovering defection, secondary pouring, secondary machine, secondary flaw defection and technology determination after qualified. The cost of new product trial-manufacture is quite high and the product quality can not be guaranteed. The information technology of computer supplies a good stage of development, design and manufacture. For casting manufacture, the high calculation speed and mass data disposal capability of computer remarkably changes the method of casting product design, technology analysis and manufacture. The advanced manufacture techniques, such as CAD, CAE, CAM, CIMS and CE, are widely used in casting and technical leading edge of casting subject. The paper involves the following aspects:Heat transfer basis during concretion, data calculation method of heat conduction analysis, fluid mechanics basis of casting cavity fill calculation, data simulation method of cavity fill procedure, shrinkage porosity and shrinkage cavity mechanism of casting steel part, system functions needed by three-dimensional casting technology simulation, lectotype of three-dimensional molding software, realization of technology design three-dimensional mold and lectotype of simulation software, which includes comparison of different software, application of Tsinghua Casting Expert System FT-Star software, application of ProCast software and technology optimized design by applying simulation software for casting.
