Two novel organic/inorganic hybrid multibranched chromophores containing octa(aminophenyl)silsesquioxane (OAPS) core and the chromophoric periphery are reported. The molecular core consisting of silicon and oxygen framework brought the title samples better thermal stability; while the peripheric conjugated aromatic imine chromophore presents two-photon absorption (TPA) resulting in up-converted fluorescence emission locating at ~ 600 nm when pumped by Ti: sapphire laser at 800 nm.New organic materials 1 ,4-bis-(4′-N ,N-dimethyl styryl) naphthalene (BDASN) and 1 ,4-bis-(4′-N ,N-diphenyl styryl) naphthalene (BDPASN) for application in electroluminescent devices were reported in this paper. For the BDASN device The maximum luminance was 2016 cd/m2 with an orange light, and And for the BDPASN device the maximum luminance reached 4706 cd/m2 with a green light.
