Nansi Lake which absorbs the water from 53 rivers which come from Lu, Jiangsu, Henan, Anhui, 32 counties in Shandong Province is the largest multi-functions freshwater reservoir, with flood control, drainage, irrigation, water supply, culture, ransport, tourism and so on. The East Route of South-to-North Water Transfer Project is the water adjustment of the Huang-Huai-Hai and the water resources allocation of four important River Basins of the Yangtze River, Yellow River, Huaihe River, Haihe River. The objective of the East Route of South-to-North Water Transfer Project is to go to the sustainable use of water resources, upport and guarantee sustainable economic and social development.Nansi Lake is immensely influenced by the ongoing the East Route of South-to-North Water Transfer Project because of the extensive interaction between them. After the operation of the project, the buffering effect of the Nansi Lake will significantly change the relation between the Yangtze River and the Nansi Lake, and also change the hydrography and water quality of the Lake, which inevitably results in the change of the ecological environment of the Nansi Lake. Nansi Lake is a typical ecological region in Shandong Province and in China and an important function of adjusting and storing during the East Route of South-to-North Water Transfer Project. Therefore, the research of ecosystem will have important practical significance and value guide. In this article, based on the basic environmental and ecological concepts, we try to describe and briefly analyze the major environmental issues of the Nansi Lake region, which include escalating water pollution, decrease of biological diversification, silt stagnation, shrink of the water body, etc.Firstly, we discuss dynamics of water qualities about the research of ecosystem of Nansi Lake. About assessment model, we use composite pollution indices method which includes composite pollution indices and pollution contribution.About the research of ecosystem of the East Route of South-to-North Water Transfer Project to Nansi Lake, we analyse the macrocosmic response of ecosystem of the east-route of South-to-North Project to Nansi Lake. Potential influences of Nansi Lake area about east-route of South-to-North Water Transfer includes that the number of vascular aquatic macrophyte of the river will reduce, the complication of water quality of Nansi Lake will happen, the rainfall and the vegetation of the Nansi Lake-area will increase and air temperature of the Nansi Lake area will reduce. At last, the potential influences result in the change of ecological structure of Nansi Lake area. And we also indicate the disadvantage influences of ecosystem of the east-route of South-to-North Project to Nansi Lake. The largest positive function to ecosystem of in-take area is exerted by the implement of the South-to-North Water Transfer Project and ultimately, the South-to-North Water Transfer Project becomes the sustainable development of Eco-South-to-North Water Transfer Project and we must take into account water resources and eco-environmence by system theory. This paper makes first the brief analysis on the decline of fish resource and its cause of Nansi Lake from 1987 to 1998. According to the change of aquatic environment, which might occur in Nansi Lake under the tramper state, the possible influence of the second phase project on the lake fish community is analyzed systematically. In order to proliferation of fish resources and achieve the balance of water ecosystem, some corresponding strategies were proposed. We should take actions to heighten consciousness of protection of fish resources, to strictly control the degree of fishing as well as establishing lasting monitoring system for fisheries environment and resources. These strategies are referential in making a strategy and for the design of east route of the South-to-North Water Transfer. Furthermore, we make a primary research about effects of east route of the South-to-North Water Transfer to aquatic vascular plant. We introduce the concepts of ecological safety and health after discussing the effects of the east-route of South-to-North Project. After introducing related content of ecological safety, ecosystem health and water environment health, we do the health risk assessment based on the water quality data of 2003 and analyze the annual health hazard risk of the carcinogen and non-carcigenic chemicals in the water of Naisi Lake.At last, we introduce the related theory of ecological restoration and reconstruction in the maintenance of the ecosystem safety and health. Then we briefly introduce the measurements of restoration and reconstruction of the Nansi Lake.
