Application And Research On Web Inspect System Based On Machine Vision

At present, Web Inspection System has been widely accepted as one of the inspection systems in the process of paper-making, which can provide the general inspection and measurement for the process of paper and cardboard production.Linking with the DVT machine vision system, this paper is based on the FrameWork that has been deeply studied and concretely applied. The advanced language Delphi is used to build a platform for users and establish a set of inspection system with the smart image sensor Legend530.This research has mostly realized the image and data communication with Legend530 by applying the leading technology, which including the sensor technology , communication technology and computer technology.Based on embedded acquaintance and skilled application in FrameWork, this research have carried out the WIS designs as a whole ,which is also on the basis of studying and analysing on the DVTSID Active X control. The system mainly includes hardware composing and communication drive, software designing, testing and simulation.At the aspect of hardware composing and communication drive, the research mainly includes the analysis and application of the smart image sensor Legend530.It is used to ensure the quality of manufacture and provide each level of information for enterprises, which may be from the data of equipment tier like detecting data sent to PLC and the data of SPC. The information can be generalized as a signal of PASS or FAIL, or specified as a feedback signal of movement controller. The data needed can be got by decoding the specified feedback signal. And the TCP/IP protocol is adopted to connect with the PC.With regard to the software designing, Delphi is used to build the platform for users and also to complete the design of WIS by programming. As to the testing and simulation, it is carried out to realize the function of communication between the WIS designed and Framework, with which the needed data and image can be got.The characteristic of WIS that designed is summarized in the end of this paper. With the ceaseless improvement on the speed of paper machine, that more defects risk appears, and the paper defects are seldom detected by eyes. Therefore, WIS not only has very high application value, but also has important practical significance to the promotion of the automatization in the paper-making process.
