Study On The Evaluation Index System Of Eco-city In Nanchang

Eco-city is the main direction for urban development in the 21st century. At present, the theory research of Eco-city has become a hot theme in academic circle. The research of evaluation index system of Eco-city is an important component of the Eco-city's theory system. The scientific, reasonable and practical Eco-city's evaluation index system which is builded according to Eco-city's scientific connotation and intrinsic request will play an important role to normalize Eco-city's construcion, evaluate Eco-city's development and promote Eco-city's theory research.Eco-city's theory basis and general principle of the evaluation index system of Eco-city were discussed in this paper. A new measurement method of harmony degree was also put forward in this paper. Taken Nanchang as an example, an evaluation index system of Eco-city was set up, and Eco-city's development in Nanchang was appraised comprehensively from development degree, harmony degree and sustainability degree with the evaluation index system of Eco-city established in the paper. The results showed that the development degree of Eco-city in Nanchang in 2000～2005 all lied in higher degree, and that the harmony degree of Eco-city in Nanchang lied in the general harmony degree in the previous three years and in the middle harmony degree in the latter three years respectively, and that the sustainability degree of Eco-city in Nanchang all lied in sustainable degree in 2000～2005. The annual growth rate of development degree was only 2% and very slow.At last, the paper gave some propositions on the study of the evaluation index system of Eco-city, including the theory perfect and practical use of the evaluation index system of Eco-city, and the improvement of traditional threshold value law.
