The southern Sichuan, China is a place which is known for its tea.This province is one of the produce and commercial centers of curl shaped famous tea. Curl shaped tea has a tremendous market space here.This research based on the market condition,applying the modern marketing principles ,and have a foothold at quality design to develop a new product of curl shaped famous tea. By investigating the fellowing cities of south of Sichuan: ChenDu, Yaan, Luzhou, EMei, Yibin ,we got the market informations ,which helped us to find out the commercal opportunities for curl shaped tea. According to these opportunities we designed a new product of famous curl shaped tea.Then, the new product was analysised, the sensory analysis and the Blind degustation was carried on.The result showes that this research is reasonable and feasible.The southern Sichuan includes several cities.They are Chendu, E Mei, Leshan, Yaan, Leijiang, Yibin, Luzhou and Zigong etc. This place has a good weather condition for green tea.After thousands of years development from Tang Dynasty,tea making in here is known all over the country.The market space in southern Sichuan is tremendous ,but the curl shaped famous tea support here is not enough.And what worse is that the market is confusion.If one kind of tea becomes the best seller,there would be many tea-making companies copy its style and even its name .This will make the market more confusion ,and then,make the company to develop another new kind of tea.So it is the high time to investgate the market condition and develop a new kind of a famous tea.The development shoud be made up of follow steps:(1) The market investigation.The main cities of southern Sichuan would be investigated.They are Chendu, E Mei, Yaan, Yibin, Luzhou.The investigation result showed that,the new product development is feasible.(2) The sampling.By studing the market investigation result,the best seller in the market of southern Sichuan was aimed at and then,sampled. (3) The sample making.Based on the market investigation , two kind of curl shaped famous tea were made.They shoud ba taste and analysised,to make sure which one is the best one.(4) The physical and chemical analysis.The three samples was analysised in many aspects.The result showed that the sample named JUANCHAXIANGZHI is the best one.(5) The sensory analysis.The samples were sensory analysised by professionals.The result showed that the sample named JUANCHAXIANGZHI is the best one.(6) Blind degustation .250 consumers were made up of a group to carry on the blind degustation.The result shoued that 44.2% people of the group like the sample named JUANCHAXIANGZHI.In generally,the research is reasonable and feasible.the sample JUANCHAXIANGZHI is the best sample of all.
