A fibrous hypercroslinked sorbent possessing abundant micropore structure ,which has never reported, was firstly prepared via post-crosslinking reaction on the PP-ST-DVB original fiber with 4,4'-dichrolomethyl diphenyl as the rigid crosslinking agent. Its micro-morphology and sorptive properties were investigated, and the results demonstrated that the novel fibrous hypercrosslinked sorbent has narrow pore-size distribution, small average porous radius (1.90 nm), high specific surface area (362.31 m2/g). The crosslinking mechanism was studied by BET, IR, SEM, elemental analysis and other means, which provide that the product has low residual chorine content, homogeneous gel phase and good heat stability. The adsorption isotherms to phenol and aniline were determined and fit well with Langmuir and Freundlich equation. The related coefficients R2 to phenol are 0.9871 and 0.9814 respectively. The constant n is more than 1, which suggested that the adsorption process releases heat.By and amination, a strong base ion exchange fiber was prepared. But the specific surface area decrease shaply. Its sorptive properties were investigated with the adsorption isotherms to phenol. Due to its affluent micropore structure, the uptake of the sorbate is larger than aminated original fiber at the same conditions. In order to enlarge the application fields of our product, two hypercrosslked chelating fiber were prepared by chloromethylation and reacting with thiourea, hydrolyzation, respectively, IR was used to analyze the structure of the final fibers. The sorptive experiments ware carried out for obtaining the adsorption properties of Cu2+.
