| The manual welding and semi-automatic gas shielded welding processes of both heavy workpieces and small rotational attached studs is inefficient. Besides, it results in many weld defects and poor quality, which restrict the military heavy vehicles to develop towards the process of modernization, automatization and intelligentization. This paper is based on the attached stud induced and arc heat hybrid source welding techniques, which weld the rotary-attached studs on the heavy external and internal surfaces of high-strength steel plate of the heavy military vehicles. On the basis of experimental research on stud welding and hybrid heat source stud welding process, it gives an in-depth analysis of stud welding equipment, and brings forward two kinds of stud welding torch structures and the overall program of the experimental prototype which can be adapted in new techniques. It also develops a welding torch which is suitful for the welding of large-diameter attached studs, and conducts the corresponding test for the feasibility of the technology. Based on this test, this paper puts forward four kinds of hybrid heat source stud welding torch structures, designs and develops two kinds of them, and at the same time completes the refit of the principle experimental prototype of hybrid heat source attached studs. The high-strength and thick steels and theΦ16 andΦ19mm studs are used in the experiment, and the results show that homemade gun enjoys a compact and rational structure, which is easy to use and has good performance. The theoretical test prototype has a reasonable structure, and meets the demand of hybrid heat test. The hybrid heat stud welding gun still needs to be further improved. |
