Sobaria Sobiflia(SS) is a member of rosaceae family. Its bark, branches and fruitare utilized for treatment of many disease.In order to investigate the pharmacologyactive constituent, this experiment carried study out on chemical composition of SS.In present study, the active costituent of SS were extracted withethanol.Initially, designing orthogonal test was used to inspect the factors such asextraction solvent concentration,extraction time, extraction times, ration of rawmaterials vs solvent, selecting amount of flavonoids as standard according to L9(34)scheme. The best extraction process was picked out by the experiment. Then theextraction was carried out in large scale by means of the best process. The extractswere partitioned following Petroleum ether, Ethyl acetate and Ethanolsolvents.Purifanction of them was accomplished by column chromato-graphy, preparative TLC and recrystallization.To date seven compounds have beenisolated from the extracts, four structures of them were characterized by UV,IR, Elements Analysis and 1HNMR datas.They are Veratradehude(Ⅱ), eupatilin(Ⅲ), dauvosterol(Ⅳ) and 5,7,4'—trihydroxy—3'—methoxyflavonol(Ⅶ).Ⅱ,Ⅲ,Ⅶare isolated for the first time in studing of Sobaria Sobiflia.
