Marine sponge Gellius Cymiformis is belong to Demospongia, Haplosclerida, Renieridae. Many compounds such as steroid, uracil, thymine, ceramide and glycerol ether etc. had already been found from Renieridae. And some of them have good bioactivity. So the study on marine sponge Cymiformis Cymiformis can enrich the knowledge of this genus. And this study have important significance for the following research on pharmacology. In this dissertation , the organic extracts of marine sponge Gellius Cymiformis from Xisha Islands have been studied. Fourteen compounds have been isolated, and their structures were determined by using IR, MS, 1HNMR, 13CNMR, FAB-MS, GC-MS , some 2D-NMR and element analysis. All these compounds were firstly found from this marine sponge and two of them(13 and 14) had never been reported in previous literatures. From the 15% EtoAc- petroleum ether portion a mixture of sterol were isolated. Based on GC-MS analysis, night sterol compounds (1 ~ 9) were identified. From the 10% EtoAc- petroleum ether portion hexadecanoic acid(10) were isolated. From the 30% EtoAc-petroleum ether portion a -palmityl glycerin ether(11) were identified. From the 35% EtoAc-petroleum ether portion 1-0-hexanoyl-glycerol ester(12) were isolated.A pure compound (13) were isolated from the 65% EtoAc- petroleum ether portion. Based on 1HNMR, 13CNMR, 1H1H-COSY, 1HSQC, 1HMBC, FAB-MS and element analysis.it was elucidated as 1,3-0- dipalmitoyl -2-0- -D-galactopyranosyl glycerol. From the 12% methanol-chloroform portion, another pure compound(14) were isolated. Based on 1HNMR, 13CNMR, 1H1H-COSY, 1HSQC, 1HMBC, FAB-MS and element analysis, it was elucidated as 1, 3-0-dipalmitoyl-2-0- 3 -D -(6'-0- -D- galactopyranosyl)- galactopyranosyl glycerol.
