Research On Relationship Between Zhejiang Industrialization And The Environmental Quality

The sixteenth Conference of Chinese Communist Party put forward, infallible choice of economy modernization was walking on the new mode of industrialization. One connotation of new mode of industrialization was integrating industrialization with sustainable development. Applying sustainable development must control and reduce environmental pollution, improve environmental quality. Now the industrialization of Zhejiang is developing rapidly, however the problem of environmental pollution is gradually sharpening with it. What is the relationship between the development of Zhejiang industrialization and the environmental quality? How to choose the method making harmonious development between Zhejiang industrialization and environment, these are the main problems that we trie to solve.In this paper we first make a description to the development of Chinese industrialization and the environmental quaiity situation by using time series data from1992 to 2004, and choose many indexes of industrialization and the environmental quality time series data respectively, so need using principle component analysis generalize the many indexes, describing activity tendency of the all-round index; then analyzes the relationship between them both theatrically and metrically. In theory, the paper not only introduces the inherent relationship between economic system and environmental system, but also presents the Environmental Kunzites Curve Theory. In metric, the paper makes correlation test, regression analysis and Granger test of causality to the relationship between the developments of Chinese industrialization and the whole environmental quality as well as between the development of Chinese industrialization and the partial environmental quality. Finally, based on analysis mentions of front make sum up and try to give some advice politically. Including three advice: (1)government in charge impulses and market operation combination mechanically is the rational method; (2) applying cleanliness production, achieving the change of industrialization pollution controlling pattern; (3)as the thinking of circulation economy, establishing industry environmental zone.The analysis to the relationship between the developments of Zhejiang industrialization and the environmental quality in metric is the key of the paper. The correlations test shows that there is a distinct correlation between them, but the industrial wastewater with industrialization has not a distinct correlation. As the regression analysis shows, the relationships among industrialization development and industrial wastewater, waste solids, environmental labefaction and industrial waste gases is not an inverted U-shaped curve, and relationship among industrialization development with integration environmental quality and local environmental quality is different. The result of Granger test of causality is that there is a single causality from the development of Chinese industrialization to the whole environmental quality, industrial wastewater and waste solids, as well as from the development of Zhejiang industrialization to industrial waste gases, but there is no causality between other variables.
