Relationship Between Water Capacity And Livestock And Poultry Breeding

Water environment capacity is a basic theory for environmental science. It reflects the process of pollutants migration and transformation in water, and also indicates the water bearing capacity towards pollutants on a certain condition. In this paper, the author mainly studies water environment capacity for Livestock and poultry from the view of environment capacity, and also pointes out the concept of livestock and poultry water environment capacity, that is, with a certain development of technology, economy and society, to meet the needs of water quality (except pollution from agriculture, industry and domestic waste water), the maximum number of livestock and poultry can be kept in an area. Meanwhile, the author summaries the characteristics of livestock and poultry water environment capacity and then find out its affecting factors to establish relevant indicator system. Given actual conditions of different area, influence degree of various affecting factors towards livestock and poultry water environment capacity can be determined. To put the theory into practice, some relevant materials such as hydrology and meteorology about Liangtan River are collected. Therefore, water environment capacity for livestock and poultry in Liangtan River (within the region of Shapinba District) is calculated.Through investigation and analysis of nature and society of Liangtan River (within the region of Shapinba District), it is found that the Liangtan River has been seriously polluted, and the major pollution is mainly from livestock and poultry breeding.Based on the water function regionalization in Liangtan River (within the region of Shapinba District), the water quality target is determined. One - dimensional water quality model is applied for calculation. When the water quality is of class V from its upper stream, the water capacity of COD is minus, the water capacity of TP is 11.45 tons per year, which means there is no water capacity for livestock and poultry breeding in this area.Therefore, proper measures should be adopted to reduce the pollutants in the Liangtan River. Meanwhile, promoting the industry adjustment is also important to help enhance the water environment capacity for livestock and poultry.
