Our country is a great nation in manufacturing industry, but not powerful. Because at present, the level of manufacturing industry quit falls behind, the most equipment are traditional machine, and it is very difficult to transform production pattern. Although many factories are using numerical control equipment to make product, but some of CNC machine can not fully use. Because the existing numerical control equipment can only complete some regular graphs (straight line, circular arc) interpolation operation, but is unable regarding the non-standard curve.The topic is in order to enhance the using efficiency of numerical control machine, solution problem in actual producing. The paper uses picture processing technology to extracting outline curve in plane of work piece, after the system demarcates, and uses software Auto cad to fitting curve, and transforming the position chart into the vector chart form, at last use software CAD/CAM (UG 3.0) to producing numerical control processing procedure, after examining and then input processing procedure to numerical control machine to processing.In this paper, the picture processing system is developed by using software C++ build 6.0. the system can carry filter, peaking, two values processing ,edge examination on the picture which come form digital camera. The method which unifies picture processing and numerical manufacture is not only to make up the shortcoming which CAD/CAM software can not use picture image directly to produce numerical control processing procedure, meanwhile it raising the efficiency which numerical control machine carry on the processing to the complex curve path, and is good solution to actual production question.
