This paper regards 65 kinds of Chinese herbs as the test materials and deals with three problems in the postharvest storage of mango:1)Studied on 65 kinds of herbal extracts growth inhibiting effects on two kinds of pathogens of mango;2) Studied on the inhibiting effects of herbal extracts on the pathogens of mango with different ways of extracting, sterilization temperature and concentration, and then screened out the better Chinese herbs of inhibiting mango pathogens; 3)Studied on the inhibiting effects of Chinese herbal compounds extracts and the changes of the quality and physiology of mango, at the same time done the contrast with the single kind of herbal extracts which restrained the pathogens with better result. Some conclusions were drawn as follow:It is showed that their extracts have prominent inhibition on Colletotrichum gloeosporioides Penz. in the pathogens screening test, such as Syringa oblate, Zanthoxylum bungeanum, Agastache rugosa, Angelica dahurica, Alpinia officinarum and Scutellaria baicalensis. Among them the rate of inhibition is highest of Syringa oblate extract, and can be more than 87.0%. Comparing with traditional method to restraining Botryodiplodia theobromae Pat., the effects of herbal extracts such as Syringa oblate, Zanthoxylum bungeanum, Agastache rugosa, Angelica dahurica, Paeonia suffruticosa, Lindera affregata, Lonicera maackii and Rheum offcinale, are extremely prominent. We can found it in the test of different ways of extracting, sterilization temperature and concentration about Syringa oblate, Zanthoxylum bungeanum, Agastache rugosa, Angelica dahurica, that the inhibition result to Colletotrichum gloeosporioides Penz.of extracted by water is the best, but have nothing in common with each other to Botryodiplodia theobromae Pat. All the herbal extracts after sterilizing under the conditions of 108℃are best.As to different concentration, the inhibiting effect results to weaken with dilution of the concentration of Syringa oblate extract, and the effects of Zanthoxylum bungeanum, and Angelica dahurica is changed slight, but the effect of Agastache rugosa presented the trend of falling after rising. To make a summery, Syringa oblate extract restrains pathogens to be obvious.According to the requirement of mixture uniform designs UM11(114),Chinese herbal compounds were researched in this paper.when Lonicera maackii 6.60 g, Scutellaria baicalensis 13.31 g, Alpinia officinarum 0.09 g or Syringa oblata 9.24 g, Scutellaria baicalensis 10.76 g,the colony diameter has reached minimum 0.0 mm.The breathe peek has delayed when mango is dealt with by the extracts of Syringa oblate and Chinese herbal compound in the determination of every index of the mango. And it can inhibit CAT activity and POD activity. It is to say, Syringa oblate and Chinese herbal compound extracts treating mango may delay the rotting of the mango and have lengthened it.
