Copolymers with core-shell structure were synthesized by seeded emulsion polymerization method with butyl acrylate and methyl methacrylate and acrylonitrile as monomers, triethylene glycol diacrylat as crosslinker, As/TX-30 as emulsifier and ammonium persulfate (APS) as initiator.The copolymers were characterized by transmission electron microscope (HRTEM) and nano Zeta potential analyzer.The synthesized copolymers were used as pigment printing binders and analyzed the printing effects.The influences of polymerization method, the dosages of emulsifier,soft/hard monomers ratio, shell thickness,the dosages of initiator, the dosages of functional monomer,the reaction temperature,the reaction time etc to the product were investigated.The experimental results showed that better core-shell copolymers can be synthesized when the ratio of As/Tx-30 is 1:2-1:3,the dosages of compound emulsifier is 4%~5%,the ratio of soft/hard monomer MMA/BA in core is 30/70, the ratio of soft/hard monomer (BA+MMA):AN in shell is 4~9,the proportion of core and shell is 5:1,the dosages of initiatoris 0.5%, the dosages of functional monomer MMA is 3%,the dosages of DMTE is 8%~10%.The pigment printing results showed that the pigment printed fabric hard good crocking and washing fastnesses,good hand and bright colors when the core-shell copolymer emulsion were used as pigment binders.
