From the viewpoint of synthesis, the hybridization material already entered the molecular tailoring and the assembly stage. Particularly, in this foundation, the supramolecular compounds especially the coordination polymers which construction directed by organic cations has shown a trend ofrapid development. Especially since the 1990's, study about I B and IVB metal halide using structural direction agents is just ascending, and the research increases gradually. The research mostly concentrates on the zero-dimensional, one-dimensional, two-dimensional, three-dimensional hybridization system, in which the organic amine, the quaternary ammonium salt, the thiourea and the derivatives were use as the structural direction agents. Their diverse structural chemistry characteristic and the widely application prospect were initially demonstrated. However, the orientation construction of the metal halide/pseudohalide coordination compound still was at the primary stage. The impact of structural direction agents on their geometric configurations, electronic structures and properties are still unclear. This project has used five kinds 1,ω-alkylidene (benzyl) dipyridine cations as organic structural direction reagents carriers on the molecular assemble, and 31 novel organic inorganic compounds were synthesized. Also we employed X-ray single crystal diffractometer technology to determine their crystal structures. In these 31 complexes, the compounds 7, 23 have formed the two-dimensional network structures; The compounds 1, 8, 14, 15, 18, 30, 31 are the one-dimensional chain structures, compound 18 has the one-dimensional double helix structure, but the compound 30 presents an one-dimensional complex chain. The compounds 2, 4, 13, 19 are the binuclear dimers, and others are the single nuclear polyhalide supramolecular structures. At the same time, the IR spectrum and the fluorescence spectrum have also been characterized, initially reported the spectrum characters of this kind of compounds.
