Studies On Kazakhstan Crude Oil Character And Processing Program

With the rapid increase of China's demand for petroleum, the ratio of processing imported crude oil containing sulfur has increased annually. In recent years, Kazakhstan has become a major oil supply to China. Through a comprehensive evaluation of the oil from Kazakhstan, this paper aims at working out a processing program according to the reality of production in Lanzhou Petrochemical Company .Through the evaluation of the oil from Kazakhstan by means of the practical boiling point distillation instrument in the laboratory and the specific isolation and analyzing methods, the features of the crude oil and the possible products (semi-products) and their yields are analyzed.Kazakhstan's crude oil is sulfur-contained crude oil. For the analysis of various elements like sulfur, hydrogen sulfide, mercaptan, disulphide, total active sulfur and corrosive sulfur in the fraction of IBP to 350℃, issues are discussed such as the relevance between sum of the active sulfur in Kazakhstan's crude oil and active sulfur, the relationship between active sulfur and sum sulfur, active sulfur and corrosive sulfur, and the existing forms of active sulfur.Based on the comprehensive evaluation of Kazakhstan's crude oil and the research of sulfur content distribution, the separate processing program is drawn up. Meanwhile, according to the situation of installations in Lanzhou Petrochemical Company , the logical conclusion is made that Kazakhstan's crude oil could only be refined by mixing with other kinds of crude oil. The tests of industrial processing verify that mixing refining programs are feasible.
