The demand/supply situation and development trend for the synthetic resin for water-saving irrigation application are reviewed based on the resin and plastic brand used for agriculture irrigation technology aimed at water-saving. So it is expected that the industrialization of base resin specifically for dripping irrigation would greatly promote the popularization and application of dripping irrigation technology.In the thesis, the resin for dripping irrigation is developed by adopting a chemical modification method, peroxide crosslink method, on the basic of the advanced resin modification technology and taking into consideration the characteristics of the plants of Lanzhou Petrochemical Company, the author suggested to produce. The industrialization enlargement experiment is made based on the lab and pilot experiments. The resin specifically for dripping irrigation is successfully made by adjusting process parameters. The evaluation of this product shows that all quality specifications fully comply with product quality design requirement.The above-mentioned product is then used in the main domestic dripping irrigation pipe factories for application test and market investigation. The application results showed that the resin has very good processing property, its physical and mechanical properties and environment anti-cracking property can meet production requirement although some property specifications need to be improved further. The market survey shows that resin specifically for dripping irrigation application has very good market prospect. The widespread application of this product will bring enormous economic benefits for enterprises and create great social benefits.
