Numerous research on the nanomaterials with unique functions were carried out, one of the field is the preparation of core-shell composite nanoparticles. The structure and composition of composite particles can be designed and clipping in nanoscale, so these particles have many special physical and chemical properties in optics, electricity, magnetism and catalysis, which are different from single constituent colloid particles. With the rapid development of nanoscience and nanotechnology, electrospinning technique, which is applied to prepare nanofibers, has provoked people's great interests. Then, people found that nanofibers will be changed into colloid nanoparticles under the same experimental situation when the concentration of polymer was reduced. The technology, which produces nanometer or micrometer particles througe mutual repulsion of charged ions, was called as electrosray ionization (ESI).CeO2/PVP, TiO2/PVP and CeO2/TiO2 core-shell nanoparticles, CeO2/SiO2 composite nanorods have been successfully synthesized by electrosray ionization technology. Their structures have been studied by TEM, XRD, FTIR, et al. Some parameters, such as the concentration of polymer, voltage and working distance were also discussed. Some useful results were obtained, which will have some reference value for further study of core-shell nanoparticles synthesized by ESI.
